PRAZE - Student peer review system

The University's Learning Environments group has developed PRAZE, a web-based peer-review system that automates the process of students reviewing each others’ work.

By writing and receiving reviews before they finally submit their work for assessment, students are able to improve their work in two ways: they can take note of the comments of their reviewer, and they can also critically reflect on the positive and negative aspects of other students’ work. PRAZE can also be used by student teams to assess the performance of individuals in their group.

PRAZE has many similarities to systems used to assist in managing the reviewing of papers for a journal or conference, but the innovation lies in the ability for a subject coordinator to customise and tailor it to their particular teaching requirements.
