Equity Innovation Grants 2012

Applications for the Equity Innovation Grants are now being sought for 2012.

The University’s Equity Innovation Grants (EIG) encourage initiatives that focus on attracting students from low socioeconomic status backgrounds to higher education, and enhance mechanisms that support their participation once enrolled at the University.

These grants utilise resource from the Higher Education Participation and Partnerships Program (HEPPP), the Pro Vice Chancellor Participation and Engagement has allocated $400 000 to encourage the initiatives objectives to:

It is intended that HEPPP related activity will support the government’s 2020 ambition to have 20 per cent of domestic undergraduate university enrolments comprise people from low socioeconomic status (SES) background.
The Equity Innovations Grant Selection Committee will comprise the Pro Vice Chancellor Participation and Engagement, the Provost’s Fellow Student Experience, the Strategic Advisor Equity Policy and an Academic Board Officer.
